I heard an interesting segment on NPR this morning about how the African National Congress (ANC) just elected this guy Zuma as its new leader, sort of sealing in advance the result of the presidential election in 2009. It made me think of you since you just went there. They mentioned Johannesburg and I thought, "Jo-burg!"
I am not so sure this is good news. Zuma was charged with rape. he was acquitted but tyhe word on the street was that he got off. Africa's main problem is a leadership issue. Just emphazies again why we need to reach students and raise up godly men and women who can bring out tranformation in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Uganda, etc.
Right - and that was the point of the segment - the people seem like they like him and they even interviewed a woman harping on his praises. But he's definitely corrupt. I agree with your last statement - and it reminds me to pray this not only in Africa but around the whole world, really. After all, that's the idea behind CCC right?
